I think most people start off thinking that they will grow-up, go to college and get a 6 figure job, buy a sports car, find the perfect mate, have 2 and 1/2 kids and live happily ever after. Though all of these are attainable, we lose focus and the world really puts some detours that we can get lost in. One of those detours is in finding the perfect job/career.
We hear about how bad the economy is, no one is hiring, and all sorts of bad news. Well, there is hope. One thing most schools don’t teach you is how to manage your career. Well, these guys do.
These guys, Mark and Mike, have been around the block and then some. They have worked for Fortune 100s and also owned their own successful businesses. They have been giving away their knowledge for free for several years. Yes, giving away in the form of pod casts. If you are a manager, or want to be, they have entire volumes of information for you. If you want to find a new job, they know what you need to do, and will tell you.
All of their content is actionable. They don’t give you some theory and say, “Go use it”. They say, “Here are steps 1, 2, and 3, now go Do Them”. They offer you an education that you can’t get in school. This is the stuff that only experience brings, and most of us don’t get to see it till we have been in the working world for many years, and then we still might not see or learn it.
They have what they call the Trinity of Management. One on Ones, Feedback, Coaching, and Delegation. Yes, there are four parts to this trinity. They will explain. Here is a great starter spot. The Basics. Make sure you listen to the last set. It talks about how to roll the Trinity out, which I could of really used. 
The core to Management is One on Ones with your directs. Your relationship with them is the SINGE most important part of your job. You must develop the if you want to have an effective team.
